FAMILY HOME EVENING

When I was done with teaching Pathway, I asked if I could help out with the Young Adult Family Home Evenings. The Millets were asked by the Bishop to organize for the Rome 2 and 6 wards. They asked me to be in charge of the games/activity part. I was happy to help. We get anywhere between 5-15 Young Adults come. I love it. They are such a fun group.

DISTRICT MEETINGS

Every Tuesday the missionaries hold district meeting and we usually have some kind of food for them. Usually it's bread and jam that the Stevens bring in. Today, Sorella Stevens brought in foccacia. Sometimes, one of us will bake cookies or muffins. They always devour whatever we bring in.

BAPTISM IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

The Ladispoli missionaries had a baptism and decided to do it in the sea. How cool.

FISHING AND CAMPING

This is what is left from the Inuksuk the boys built seven years ago at the crash site. Andrew went camping there a few weeks ago. He said the plaque is barely legible. That is too bad. May have to go replace it one day.

Timothy and family have been doing a lot of camping and fishing this summer. Last year they bought a fifth wheel and they are enjoying the benefits of it more this summer.

AUGUST TRANSFERS

Veronica and Sorella Thorpe

Anziano Kennedy
This August transfers were a bit strange because, four missionaries went home and I really didn't know them very well. It was the first time this has happened. Mostly because, none of them served in Rome while I've been here. We weren't even asked to come help at the Villa.

Sorella Thorpe lived one floor below us and she was transferred to Catania. Anziano Kennedy served in Ostia for seven months. I got to know him well. He got transferred to Palermo.

Still getting lots coming in though. Every six weeks a new crew. Now there will be less time to get to know these ones coming in if they don't serve in Rome. Time is ticking by.

RETURNED MISSIONARIES

Will Anderl

Hey sister sutton! I finally made it to see elder sutton, he seems like an awesome missionary. I am so excited for you two to see each other in a few months! He is a lucky son! Hope everything is going well!
Will Anderl

I'm so grateful for these missionaries. They delivered little packages to Hyrum. I have been sending him a tie a month, but as these missionaries were going home, they asked if I would like to send something to him. So they did.
Jonathan Dungue is a returned missionary, but not from Rome. He lives in Rome and went to America to visit friends.
