SCHERBEL'S ARE BACK

What a nice surprise to see Paul and Geri Scherbel back in Rome. They are the couple who served in Napoli. They went home in December,but returned for a baptism of one of their English students. Oh,

how I wish they were still here. It was so good to see them.

JULIA JOINS THE SWIM TEAM

Julia joined the swim Spruce Grove Swim Team in June. She loves competing and improving her swim strokes. I can't wait to see her and cheer her on.

About the end of June, I had the opportunity to go on splits with Sorella Hansen in Ostia. Really got to see how a proselyting missionary life is about. Not something I want to do on a regular basis, but it was good to go visit families and teach on a couple of occasions.

I asked Brother Gale if he would make gnocchi and he did. It was the best gnocchi I've ever tasted!

Wish I had a ton of money. This man makes cameos and adds them with pearls. I bought a few pieces, but I would have loved to have bought more.

JUNE FLOWERS BURSTING WITH COLOUR

June 1st and the shrubs are bursting with colour! In spring it was wisteria and magnolia, now the oleander and others are a sea of pink, red and coral. The weather is perfect, not too hot. I literally have a skip to my walk.

This is one of the stairs I can take to go to the Mission Office. It's a lot of stairs, 97 in fact, but at least I have some beautiful flowers to look at along the way.
