We rented a car and headed south, Not quite as far as Napoli. What a beautiful resort town. We stayed right on the beach. Nice accommodations. We got there in the afternoon and quickly changed into our bathing suites. We layed by the beach reading and sleeping. Not many people there because it's still not high season. We were good with that as we had the beach practically to ourselves.
The water was a bit cool this time of year. I'm writing this in August, but we were there the end of May. The weather, however, was perfect, hot and sunny.
In the evening we walked the hilltop town. I bought a great pair of shoes and some leather goods. The next day, we rented a boat and had a tour along the whole shore. Once again, we were the only ones on the boat. The rest of the day was spent on the beach again. I did go for a swim in the big pool.
We had dinner by the water and had a nice fish dinner. Expensive, but nice. We headed back to Rome that night. getting in quite late.
