An Answer to Prayer

Catherine and Amy, behind us is Castel Sant'Angelo

Shortly after I arrived here I was really missing my friends. Though there are a lot of nice people here I don't have a friend that I can just call up and go shopping with or go for a run. So I was feeling discouraged and prayed that I would meet someone I could be friends with. And then an awesome thing happened. Every Sunday we get a lot of Americans, especially from Utah and California who attend church here while they are vacationing Italy. One particular Sunday, this lady (Amy from Utah) came up to me and said she new from somewhere. After going through a bunch of places we might know each other, I concluded that we hadn't ever met. She was convinced we did, anyway she said if I were interested in going site seeing with them that afternoon. I jumped on the invitation. We were instant friends. It was like we always new each other. We laughed and joked around as we toured Rome and got lost as well. The picture above shows how comfortable we were with each other taking selfies. I stayed out way too late, but man did I need that time being with friends at that time in my life. They really were an answer to prayer. I may never see them again, these angels that drifted in my life for a day.
