Saying Good Bye

Farewell Party and the Airport

Jo Ellis hosted a farewell party, (Saturday, May 24) at her home. It was  nice to see so many friends come wish me well. The best part was when we were split into teams and played "click and split". Jo had 10 places we had to go find  that represented famous land marks in Rome and then take a picture of the group in front of it. It was fun to see how differently people interpreted things like "Trevi Fountain" or "The Roman Forum".

I will miss my good friends. I truly am blessed to have special people in my life who have supported me and just have been ministering angels to me. You know who you are and I love you.

On May 26 very early in the morning I left St. Albert to attend training at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. Jeffrey, Jalene and their little girls woke up at 4:30 am to see me off. Andrew drove me to the airportl. It was bitter sweet as I said good bye to the family. Excited to start this new adventure in my life, but sad to leave my boys and their families, especially six little angels, my grand kids. I'll miss having nonna camp, baking cookies, sleep overs and hugs. I'll miss long chats with my boys, celebrating their birthdays and vacationing with them. What wonderful sons I have. Devoted to their mother, their wives and their children. I am so proud of each one of them!
