On May Friday, May 24th, I was set apart as a full time missionary for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. President Gordon Garside, Stake President for the Edmonton North Stake officiated. I was so happy to have Andrew, who drove from Slave Lake (a 2 1/4 hour drive) there. Timothy and family were vacationing in Florida, a trip they planned in advance so were not able to attend. And Hyrum of course is serving his mission in Ogden, Utah. Also there were my in-laws, Bill and Joan Sutton and Jo-Anne and Gerald van Bruggen and good friends Jo Ellis and Catherine Jones. President Garside pronounced a beautiful blessing. In part he blessed me that the I would feel Steve's presence with me and that I would experience great things on both sides of the oceans.
